The instrument table is mobile and both suited for use in the operating room during on-going surgery and in preparation rooms where staff prepare instruments and sterile goods for surgery.
Considering the flexibility of TOUL 300, it is also an excellent complement in an operating room equipped with a fixed LAF-ceiling installation. The application offers increased efficiency and safer procedures.
A study performed 2008 in Norrland´s University Hospital in Umeå, Sweden shows that the instruments stay 60 times cleaner on an instrument table from Toul Meditech than on a regular instrument table.
Ultraclean air is produced by circulating the ambient air in the operating room through a HEPA filter to clean the air from bacteria and particles.
The unit then distributes 400 m3 air per hour through a flexible LAFscreen that forms the airflow into a column of air over the instruments.
The airflow is turbulence-free and is not impeded by the movements of the surgical team in the defined airflow area. Existing regular ventilation system does not affect the function of the unit.
Airflow is 0,5-0,7 meters per second through the LAF screen.
The TOUL 300 is easy to operate and can be adjusted to different heights. With the help of the castors the unit can easily be moved around the patient to an optimal position, as well as transported to any other ward within the hospital.
